First Day of Kindergarten!!!

Today was Ellie's first day of Kindergarten and to my surprise I did NOT cry! A little chocked up maybe, but no tears :) I think it helped that she was so excited and ready for school to start. Literally the day after preschool ended and throughout the whole summer she bugged us asking when she got to go to her new big girl school? Well the day has finally come and I can hardly believe I have a little one is officially in elementary school. These past 5 years have flown by and we couldn't be prouder of our little girl and the big girl she is becoming!! Good Luck our Ellie Ray you are going to have a blast this year I just know it :)

Ellie all ready for her first day @ school
This is Ellie's new "big kid school"

Ellie in line with all her classmates waiting for their teacher Ms. Mattier who I've heard only wonderful things about :)

Have a great day my love, can't wait to hear all about when you come home!!!

Pee Wee Soccer!

So Carson has been bugging us to play soccer all year and now that he is 3 he is finally old enough to do something about it. The city has 6 week sessions of pee wee sports with soccer being one of them, so we were all over it! He was so excited to go and could hardly wait, but once we got there it was a different story! He wouldn't do the stretches, I had to run the field with him and couldn't leave his side. I was really worried that this was going to be a LONG 6 weeks, but once they gave him a ball he was a totally different little boy! He loved dribbling it with his feet, playing red light, green light, squishing it like a bug and throwing it in over his head (phew!) Although he never warmed up to warming up :) he thoroughly enjoyed his pee wee soccer experience and so did we!!
Carson squishing his ball like a bug.

Throwing the ball over his head (that was probably self explanatory)

Dribbling the ball down the field while playing red light green light. So green light was kick the ball hard and fast, yellow light was dribble the ball slowly, and red light was to squish your ball like a bug! My favorite was to watch him squish the ball like a bug :) His little legs are so short it took a lot of effort from his part to stop the ball, and it was really , really cute!!!

Way to go my pee wee sports champ! Mommy and Daddy had so much fun watching you play soccer :) You did a great job and we can't wait for you to do it again!! (hopefully next time it won't be so blazing hot!!)
