A Brush With Fame

Yesterday while talking in the hall after church I get this tapping on my leg and hear a whispering voice saying "Mommy, Mommy" with great urgency. So I stop my conversation to see what is the matter. There is Ellie nervously pawing at my leg, "Look Mommy, it's the boy from High School Musical!". She was so excited to see Zac Efron she could hardly contain herself :) So I asked her if she wanted to say hi to him and she quickly declined! She is way too shy for that! I thought it was so cute I had to take a picture the following week, and "Zac Efron" was sweet enough to let me :) Now just to set the record straight: No Zac Efron is not LDS, and no he doesn't visit our ward, but a cute young man named Jordan Smith does and he happens to look like Zac Efron. My little Ellie Ray isn't the first enthusiastic girl to make this mistake. In fact when I worked with the youth we had an activity at the mall and he was stopped by a bunch a girls who had made the same mistake. There have been several occasions that this has happened to Jordan, and if he wasn't so shy I'm sure he would find it cool, but he just finds it embarrassing (poor guy). If anything else it is a compliment "Zac" :)
Ellie with her "Zac Efron" she was so extremely nervous to take the picture I gave up on trying to get a cute smile out of her. And unfortunately Jordan got his haircut that week, so he doesn't look as much like Zac as he used. That's okay though he is still a cute boy :) and Ellie is still infatuated with him!

Thanksgiving Feast

Ellie's preschool had a Thanksgiving feast for all the kids. They sang some songs for all the parents and recited a poem. They even sported Indian headbands that they made themselves while they chowed down on turkey, popcorn, nuts, carrots, rolls, and cranberries (which no one liked).

Ellie with her school friends: Lily, Ellie, Berlin, and Sophia

Carson even scored and got to join in on the Thanksgiving feast!
