We have been forever sick at our house, or at least that is what it seems like. It all started about a month ago with colds and coughs, and when Ellie gets a cold that means asthma is sure to follow, and sure enough it did. So she's hacking up a lung, and Carson decides he doesn't want to be left out and starts coughing too. Then Ellie complains about her ear hurting so off to the Dr.'s we go, and sure enough she had an ear infection! So she's on her antibiotic, her
nebulizer (it's a machine for her asthma) an inhaler, I have the humidifier going at night in the kid's room, and suctioning out snot from all 3 kids like there's no tomorrow. The next morning Ellie wakes up with pink eye (
ahhh!!!). That was it! So I
lysoled the house from top to bottom, washed all the sheets, blankets, towels, toys, you name it I cleaned it (i hate pink eye). Then the following morning Carson wakes up with a swollen face and red puffy splotches an his
forehead. I thought it was an
allergic reaction to something cause that's what it looked like, so we took him into the Dr.'s and turns out he had scratched his
eczema and infected it. So they gave us a special cream to help clear up his
eczema and some
amoxicillan, because during his check up he also had an ear infection. So Ellie and Carson are both sick and Hunter is all congested. This went on for about a week and then I finally started to see the light at the end of the
tunnel! Oh and by the way I decided to get sick during all this too! So after about 3 weeks the coughing has stopped, the noses are no longer running and the
nebulizer, and humidifier have been put away. Yeah, right? I thought so , but on Tuesday Carson decided to run a temperature, the runny nose came back, the cough came back which caused wheezing this time, so out came the
nebulizer and humidifier again! So I think I got it under control, the temp is gone and he's off the
nebulizer. Well I was wrong yet again! When I changed Carson's clothes
yesterday he had what looked like a rash all over his chest, his back, the diaper area, and around his hair line! So back to the Dr.'s I went to find out he has Baby
Roseola (it's a form of the measles) that affects kids around 3 and under. Needless to say Carson is miserable and I am just praying that Hunter doesn't get it! So as you can see this has been the house for the sick lately despite my great attempts of disinfecting the place time after time! So here's to hoping that this will be it please, oh please!
This is the nebulizer, my kids aren't so fond of it, but very used to it! In this picture Carson wasn't even using it at the time he just had to put it on cause Ellie used it, and heaven forbid Ellie gets to do something and not him (my silly, silly boy)
